Kyra and Emily

Kyra got a lot of presents that she absolutely loved. She got several Barbies, a barbie car, sidewalk paint, a princess outfit, a Cabbage Patch Baby, a computer game, an outfit, a princess gown, a Precious Moments doll, and a few other things that aren’t coming to mind right now. She was so excited about them all.

Kyra was having fun playing on the playground.

Piper and Elijah loved swinging. Piper’s grandmother pushed them for a long time. Grandmas are good for that.

This is my friend and next door neighbor, Claire (Piper’s mom), me, and Ms Tammy (my friend and pastor’s wife). Claire made me feel better, as I was not the only very pregnant, very uncomfortable, and very hot expectant mother there. Misery loves company, you know!

And, finally, we had cake! This is Kyra blowing out her candles. The cake used to say “Happy Birthday Kyra”, but that was before I pulled the plastic wrap off of it. All of the writing came off with the plastic. So, oh well. It tasted good anyway!

Elijah’s Bible School class was supposed to be singing “This Little Light of Mine”. Their teacher did most of the singing, but at least they looked cute.

Kyra loves to dress up. Today, she concocted this lovely ensemble from one of my slips and my white skirt. She’s a fashion genius!

Kyra: “Mommy, when I was a little baby did I have a black thing on my belly button that falls off like Baby ___ is going to have?”
Me: “Yeah.”
Kyra: “Did I have teeth?”
Me: “No.”
Kyra: “Do little babies not have teeth?”
Me: “No they don’t have any teeth.”
Elijah: “Flashlights?”
Me: “No, Elijah. Babies don’t have flashlights either.”

I was trying to look for a draft of a post that I had saved on here, when I happened upon something that totally suprised me. I didn’t realize it, but I had comment moderation turned on. So, when you guys were leaving comments, I had to approve them before they would appear on each post. Not only that, but the option to have them emailed to me when you commented was turned off, too. So, I just thought no one ever commented on my blog. I fixed it all, and now it should post your comment right away. I’m sorry that it took me so long to discover this. Thank you to those of you who have commented on this blog, and I hope that all of you who look at my pictures will leave comments from now on. I really like reading them.

Also, I’ve started blogging again on my regular blog, if anyone cares to read it. I know some of you have followed the link from my sidebar, but, if you didn’t notice it, I just thought I would share.

“I’m gonna be pregnant when I grow up. I just have to figure out who I’m gonna marry.”

Me: “Elijah, are you going to eat that?” pointing to the the remaining two french toast sticks from his breakfast.
Elijah: “No.”
Me: “Do you want me to throw it away?”
Elijah: “Huh! Stink! Poop.” (Translation…Yes. It stinks like poop.)

Boys!

“No! No, no, no, NOOOOOOO!”.

(The context isn’t important…it was repeated several times throughout the day.)
