In my favorite poem by Robert Frost, Nothing Gold Can Stay, he reminds us that like the seasons of nature, life is one season melting into another, and quickly fading away. This is my attempt to document each season in my life and my family.

Happy Kids

The kids are still doing homeschool, but they get plenty of days off and plenty of time to play. Amy and her family recently moved to Fort Knox, KY. Being so (relatively) close now, I met Amy Sunday afternoon in Nashville, and picked up her seven year old daughter, Sarah…my little forever friend. Amy is at a chaplain conference in Branson, Missouri, so Sarah is spending several days with her faux-cousins just because. Here are a few photos from yesterday.

Kyra and Sarah have been pretending they are sisters. I wonder where they got the idea that you can just decide someone is your sister?

My Pseudo-Triplets

Hello, Hello!

Well, look at this. I’m blogging. That’s an interesting surprise in your feed reader, huh?

My blog has been silent for a long time. Life has been full and fun and dark and difficult, but now I’m returning to continue to chronicle my life.

A few people have asked why I stopped blogging. I mostly said I was busy, which was true, but the main reason was simply that I was depressed. Very depressed. Post-partum depression is a real b…east, and I’d love nothing more than to never see it’s ugly face again. I talked to my doctor, and she’s helped me do what I need to do to feel better. And I really do feel better. Much better. Brand new lease on life better.

So, hello. It’s good to see you again!
