In my favorite poem by Robert Frost, Nothing Gold Can Stay, he reminds us that like the seasons of nature, life is one season melting into another, and quickly fading away. This is my attempt to document each season in my life and my family.

Feeling good again today. I feel very positive. I didn’t get much around the house done yesterday, but I’m doing better today. Just thought I would take a short break to blog for a minute.

Elijah is eleven months old today. It’s went by so fast. One month left till his one year birthday. I can’t believe how time has flown. He’s walking really good now.

I did yoga again this morning. Feels great.

Well, my blogging is cut short. Everyone is crying!

Man, I feel good….

I had a good night’s sleep last night, Chris is off today, and I just got through working out. Twenty minutes on the elliptical machine, one hundred crunches, and ten push-ups. I feel great. I really need to push myself to work out every single day. It makes me feel so good, and it gives me a huge boost of energy. Gotta work on the routine, I guess.

Well, I guess I should hit the shower, and get started on all the chores I need to finish.

Haven’t posted in a while. Been busy, I guess. Well, sort of. I guess, mostly, I’ve just not had anything too interesting to post about.

I had my hair cut and colored the other day. I really like it, but, now that I’m used to the change, I want to go even more different. I’m all into this style experiment.

The kids are doing so great. Elijah is walking pretty good now. He still crawls if he has a good distance to travel, but he’s getting pretty good with the whole upright thing.

Kyra is as sweet as ever. She climbed in my lap today, said “I love you, Mommy”, and gave me a big hug. It melts my heart to hear those words. She can be a handful, but she’s such a sweetheart.

I finished a pretty interesting book today. It’s called A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. It’s about addiction. Very interesting, and a true story to boot. I never really thought to really consider a drug addict’s point of view. Interesting is the best word that I can think of to describe it.

I saw Jason today. He came home over the weekend to pick up a truck that he was buying. It was good to see him. I’ve missed him. I hate thinking of him going to Iraq. Anyway. I spent all day at Mom’s visiting with him. He brought a friend with him…Grit. He was a nice guy. It was really good to see my brother.

We had such a good day yesterday. We took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese’s. We had never been there before, and Kyra had such a good time. Then, we went to eat at O’Charley’s, and then we spent the rest of the afternoon at a couple of stores with me telling Chris that he couldn’t buy a big screen t.v. He had money burning a hole in his pocket, and I had to be the voice of reason. After that, we went to my mom’s for a while. Then, I came home and watched my shows. Gilmore Girls was the most important. I love, love, LOVE Gilmore Girls. My absolute favorite show. It was so good last night. But, I’m not going to be a total loser and re-cap the show for you all. Watch it yourself.

I’m going to call later and find out how much it would be to have my hair cut and colored in a salon. I’m going to permanately dye it, I think, since I can’t get a different enough color with the semi-permanant stuff. I’m too scared to use the permanant stuff at home, though. I think Chris is going to let me do it, if it doesn’t cost too much.

Well, I’m hungry, so I’m going to go fix some Egg, sausage, onion, mushroom, and cheese scramble. I call it a scramble, because I just scramble it all together instead of making it like an omelet. It tastes the same, but it’s quicker and easier. So, yeah. Here I go.

Got my MRI results today. They said that I have a bad bone bruise, and it takes 6-8 weeks to heal. Another, if it doesn’t get better, let us know. So, yay for no surgery, at least.

Got my house clean yesterday. It is quite nice. I love having a clean house. For some reason, I just have a problem keeping it clean.

It’s a pretty day out today. I don’t know how warm it is, but it is sunny. Chris was supposed to be off today, but he had to go to the range to shoot. At least he doesn’t have to work ALL day, and should be home by like three.

I’m so addicted to the Sims 2. I love that game. It’s so addicting. I can spend hours playing it, after the kids are asleep, which I did last night, since I couldn’t sleep.

I don’t know why I can’t sleep lately. I didn’t go to bed until after three a.m. this morning, and I still couldn’t go to sleep for a long time. I don’t know why, because, usually, I’m half asleep as soon as I lay down. A touch of insomnia, I guess.

Well, the kids are playing, so I guess this would be a good opportunity for me to take a shower or something.

Well, I didn’t do any of those things yesterday that I said I was going to do, except for visiting my parents and grandparents and going to church. It was rainy and yucky. So, I have a full day of housework ahead of me. Too boring, really, to post about, but that’s what I’ve got to do today.

Just for the record, I’ve got the cutest, sweetest little kiddos in the world. They are so sweet playing together. I love them so much.

Okay, enough of being pointless, and on to my nasty house!!! I’m motivated. I am!! Ok, maybe not, but I’m trying to fake it. Off I go.

I have so much to do today. I am behind in my duties. I have a ton of laundry that needs doing. I am not going to worry too much about the house today. The main living areas aren’t too bad. I cleaned them up yesterday. Just a little laundry, for now, is all I’m aiming to do. I have to go to the store today, because we’re out of diapers. I also need to go to my grandparents house. Besides just needing to take the kids to visit them, I need to take my Papaw a birthday card. I missed his birthday. I felt awful when I realized I had forgotten it, but we were all sick and stuff. I’m sure he will understand. Depending on how warm it is outside, I thought about taking the kids by the park to feed the ducks and play for a little bit. If it’s chilly out, though, I’ll probably just stop by the library on my way to Wartburg. Kyra so loves the library. After Papaw’s, I will probably go by my parents house until it is time to go to church, and then I will most likely go to their church. Then, come home, watch American Idol, go to bed, and hopefully sleep better than I did last night.

And that, my friends, is today’s itinerary. Splendid, eh?
