In my favorite poem by Robert Frost, Nothing Gold Can Stay, he reminds us that like the seasons of nature, life is one season melting into another, and quickly fading away. This is my attempt to document each season in my life and my family.

Guess who? It’s your absentee blogger friend! Sorry for the long absence from blogging. I’ve been having adventures and life crisis(es). What is the plural of “crisis”? Oh, ok. It’s crises. I could hear the word in my head, but I didn’t know how to spell it until I looked it up. So, I’ve been having adventures and life crises.

Basically, I went on a cruise and it was mostly fun. I visited Cozumel, Mexico. Belize. Isla Roatan, Honduras. and Costa Maya, Mexico. It was great. I had never been out of the country before. I had never rode in a taxi before. I had never sailed on a ship before. I had never had a scarlet macaw land on my head before. I had never ate iguana before. I had never been bitten by a monkey before. I had never shared a hot tub with Canadians before. I had never played slots before. But…now I have. And it was good.

As far as the crises go, I’m getting divorced. We tried to make it last longer for the sake of the kids, but that’s not going to work. That’s all I really want to say about it right now.

I know this post is kind of ADD’ish, but it’s the best I can do tonight. I’m just trying to get back into the groove of writing again.

I am so excited! I have finally published my Kindle book I’ve been working on.

It’s called “Coming Out: Poetry & Short Stories” by Rachel Harmon. Right now, it is only in Kindle format. I know some of you don’t have a Kindle, but you can read it even if you don’t. You can read it on your computer. If you have a smartphone, you can download an app to read it on your phone, as well. Here is a link that can show you all the different ways you can read Kindle books.

I would be absolutely thrilled if you would read my book. If you do read it, please let me know what you think about it. I am just absolutely thrilled to have my words published for people to read.
