In my favorite poem by Robert Frost, Nothing Gold Can Stay, he reminds us that like the seasons of nature, life is one season melting into another, and quickly fading away. This is my attempt to document each season in my life and my family.

Hello, 2008! I’m glad to see you come. I’ve got big plans for you. I know you just got here and all, but do you mind to wait a minute while I say goodbye to a good friend of mine?

Goodbye, 2007. Wonderful, beautiful 2007. You were good to me. A new friend…a new relationship…a new way to view the world…a new direction. I’ve cried a lot while you’ve been here, 2007, but some of the tears I’ve shed have been tears of joy.  I almost hate to see you go. You changed my life. I promise I’ll never forget you.

Happy and sad. Old and new. 2007 was golden, and so it cannot stay.

Hello, 2008. I hope we’ll be good friends.
