In my favorite poem by Robert Frost, Nothing Gold Can Stay, he reminds us that like the seasons of nature, life is one season melting into another, and quickly fading away. This is my attempt to document each season in my life and my family.

No Snowmen for Us

Filed under: Family, Random Thoughts, School — Rachel at 11:25 pm on Thursday, February 1, 2007

Well, we didn’t get a big snow. It was white outside when we woke up this morning, but the ground wasn’t even completely covered. So, travel today wasn’t a problem. I got to my class just fine tonight. It is supposed to last from 6:00 to 9:05, but he let us go at about 7:30 tonight. He gave us our next writing assignment. We are supposed to interview someone, and then write a personality profile on them. We have two weeks until our rough draft is due, and then one more week before our final draft. I think this will be a fun paper to write, but I don’t know yet who I am going to interview. We can’t interview immediate family, and he discouraged interviewing grandparents because it’s too hard to be objective. I am excited about it.
While I was gone, my mom watched the kids. Mom and Seth hung around for about an hour after I got home, but I never went into my bedroom while they were here. About an hour after they left, I had finally got Owen to sleep, and went to put him down. To my surprise, my mother had folded my mountain of laundry. I was so happy. Thanks, Mom!
I’m so exhausted. I would write more, but I’m so sleepy I can’t think of anything else to write about.
