In my favorite poem by Robert Frost, Nothing Gold Can Stay, he reminds us that like the seasons of nature, life is one season melting into another, and quickly fading away. This is my attempt to document each season in my life and my family.

What Do You Think This Is?

Is it…

A - A blurry picture of a red car taken by a camera phone.

B - A blurry picture of a red car in a Krystal drive through taken by a camera phone held by me as I’m saying (very excitedly), “Get closer, Chris!”.

C - A car full of mimes.

D - All of the above.

If you said “D - All of the above”…Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner.

How lucky am I? I mean, really. Have you ever seen a car full of mimes? I dare say you haven’t. But I have. Cursed be my husband for not driving me closer to the car full of mimes so that I could get a non-blurry picture. I have to give it to him, though. He did drive me around the drive through for the sole purpose of trying to take their picture. If he had of just unlocked the door and let me out, though, I could have ran up to them and got one. He just wouldn’t slow down.

Does your hubby have any clue how rare it is to find *one* of these endangered species?!?!?

Do tell more… did they have the full markings…the white face and hand plumes???

And just how many were in the car??? This is sooo exciting! Perhaps we might see the breed make a come back.

Oh if only I was there, Rachel. I would have gladly stepped out of the vehicle (even at a slow roll) and captured your elusive photo for you!

(After all, I’ve been known for this sort of thing… it is a wonderful adventure!)

So glad you shared with us!
:) Lisa

Lisa, I don’t think Chris realized what a priceless moment it was. They did have full markings…white faces, striped shirts with suspenders, black berets, and…what in the world are hand plumes? I couldn’t see their hands anyway. There were four of them in the car. I was dying to know if they ordered at the sign, or if they pulled up to the window and tried to mime their order. lol

Berets and all! Going frenchy eh?? I’m certain they had the white gloves too! Purebred, for sure!

My last sighting was without the head plumes… all dressed in black, no suspenders. Rather disappointing… as this mutated breed has adapted in a manner that loses the eye-catchy-ness of it’s predicessors. Nice to see the more colorful of the breed still exist!

I must admit I’m partial to the top hat, bow tie, and tux variety.

What an awesome sighting!

Just think if you had made it out of your vehicle you could have aided them… in insuring they got their food! I’m sure they mimed… rotfl! ;)
