In my favorite poem by Robert Frost, Nothing Gold Can Stay, he reminds us that like the seasons of nature, life is one season melting into another, and quickly fading away. This is my attempt to document each season in my life and my family.

My Poor Baby

Filed under: General — Rachel at 9:12 pm on Monday, October 10, 2005

I took Kyra to the doctor this morning. She has had a bad cough for the past few days, and it was progressively getting worse. It wasn’t a normal cough, so I decided to take her to see the doctor. She has pneumonia. I’m really glad I took her. Sometimes you worry that you are taking them in, and the doctor is going to think you’re nuts when nothing is wrong with them. I usually go by the “better safe than sorry” philosophy. It panned out today. He put her on antibiotics, and hopefully that will take care of it. She sounds awful when she coughs. I can’t stand it when my babies are sick. I hope she’s better soon. Please keep her in your prayers.
