In my favorite poem by Robert Frost, Nothing Gold Can Stay, he reminds us that like the seasons of nature, life is one season melting into another, and quickly fading away. This is my attempt to document each season in my life and my family.

Summer Reading Contest is OVER!

Filed under: General — Rachel at 7:27 pm on Wednesday, September 1, 2010

Can you believe it? It’s September. Crazy. That means, of course, that our Summer Reading Contest is over. Because this post is coming so late in the day, I’ll give everyone until midnight on Thursday to post your totals. Please include the titles of any books you’ve finished since your last update. Friday morning, I’ll announce the winner.

Here is a list of everyone who participated (in no particular order):

1. Joel   2. Amy  3. Myra  4. Jami   6. Julie  7. Travis   8. Heather  9. Lindsey   10. Kyra   11. Judi  12. Holly  13. Rachel

No everyone updated every week, but, if you participated at all, you’re included.

So, let me know your final totals, and we’ll award some prizes. :)

Thanks for having this contest, Rachel. It has made me realize how little reading I have been making time for and makes me really excited about how much Lindsey is enjoying reading!

Myra, you didn’t fail. You just didn’t win. Thanks for participating. I know you had a super busy summer. I, on the other hand, had a laid back summer and had time to read a lot.

Rachel, my life truly fell apart. I’ve scarcely had time to breathe.I thought I might do some reading at the hospital, but ended up needing to help my mom so much that it just didn’t happen. Thanks, though!

I have totally lost count. No idea what I’ve read. Lots of something about something :) Mostly client files

Well, unless Judi comments in the next forty-eight minutes or so, I think Julie blew everyone out of the water. :)

Jami, thanks for checking in. I think you had at least five books reported before. I hope they were more pleasant and entertaining than client files.
