In my favorite poem by Robert Frost, Nothing Gold Can Stay, he reminds us that like the seasons of nature, life is one season melting into another, and quickly fading away. This is my attempt to document each season in my life and my family.

Extra Cash With Ebay?

Filed under: General — Rachel at 12:31 am on Tuesday, August 31, 2010

I have recently gotten into going to antique stores, thrift shops, and yard sales. The reason I got started doing this, was that I was looking for certain things for my “happy room”. I bought an antique rolltop desk from an antique store. I got some figurines from ebay. I bought several items from yard sales. Along the way, I began thinking about buying things that I didn’t necessarily want for cheap, and then re-selling them on Ebay.

So, anyway, I was wondering if any of you had experience selling on Ebay, and, if so, would you recommend it? Was it worth the time and effort? Any bad experiences?

I sold a lot about 8yrs ago. Did the same, bought things cheap then resold. Even bought “lot” items on ebay then split them up and resold them. I made a fair amount of money and had nothing negative to say about it except that it does become a bit addicting to check and see how high the bid is every 5 minutes. If I had more time I would still do it. It was actually pretty fun.
