In my favorite poem by Robert Frost, Nothing Gold Can Stay, he reminds us that like the seasons of nature, life is one season melting into another, and quickly fading away. This is my attempt to document each season in my life and my family.

Kid Quotes

Kyra just asked me,
“Mama, why do some kids go to school and still believe that the world got made by no one?”
I told her that public schools don’t teach kids that God made the world.
And she said, “Why don’t they teach them that?”
I said, “Because some people don’t believe in God or that He made the world.”
She said, “Why don’t those kids learn in church?”
I said, “Because some kids don’t go to church.”
And she, sounding very sad, said, ”Mama, don’t you wish that there was some way that everyone could learn about Jesus?”
After a long pause in the conversation, while she was doing schoolwork, she said, “Kids could still learn about God from the Bible.”
I agreed with her, and she grinned and said, “What if some parents that didn’t believe in God bought their kids a Bible because they thought it was just some book and the kids read it and learned about Jesus. That would be funny!”
