In my favorite poem by Robert Frost, Nothing Gold Can Stay, he reminds us that like the seasons of nature, life is one season melting into another, and quickly fading away. This is my attempt to document each season in my life and my family.

Elijah Says

Filed under: Elijah, Family, Kids — Rachel at 4:31 pm on Friday, October 10, 2008

We were playing a game of Simon Says in the living room, and I was Simon. It went something like this…

“Simon says…
…jump up and down.
…stop jumping.
…spin around.
…stand on one foot.”

Elijah got to be Simon next, and it went something like this…

“Simon says…
…jump on one foot.
…do fourteen and a half jumping jacks.
…do cartwheels.
…run around the room seven times.
…spin around.
…do jumping jacks.”

Moral of the story: unless you need a good workout, don’t play Simon Says with Elijah.

I miss Elijah. I wish I could play.
